My Questions are how do you do the following in C++ without using MFC: 1. Rename a file. MoveFile or MoveFileEx. 2. Delete a file. DeleteFile. 3. Lock/Unlock a file while using it LockFile or LockFileEx. None of these seems like it ought to be very hard to find -- the names all seem about as obvious as you could

file question
While we're discussing swap files, I'm wondering what the size of the file might indicate. My WIN386.SWP file is always around 24 megs or so. I have 32 megs of RAM. If I increased the RAM to, say 64 meg, would the size of the swap file drop? Would this give better performance? Is this a dumb question?

This theory makes sense years ago, when system hads 4-16 or even 32megs of ram. But now, there are so many more factors. I have 320 megs of ram. By that rule, I would need a 800
